Hair Extensions Academy provides customised training packages for colleges. If you want to provide exciting new courses to bring learners into college and broaden your range of programmes then we can come and deliver both accredited and NVQ qualifications to your learners direct or train your lecturers to deliver the courses themselves. We have experience of delivering our courses to colleges throughout the UK.
We are the training provider of choice by VTCT to deliver hair extensions training to other VTCT centres so they can deliver the courses to their learners.
- We are able to deliver training to meet the requirements of the Level 3 hairdressing diploma and also offer NVQ in Creative hair Extensions Services which can be provided as a unit of the Level 3 hairdressing qualification.
- We can train your lecturers so they gain the qualifications needed to deliver the courses to learners. We are the training provider of choice by VTCT to deliver hair extensions training to other VTCT centres so they can deliver the courses to their learners.

Custom Hair Extension Training for Colleges
Hair Extensions Academy can offer an accredited BABTAC or VTCT NVQ or VRQ qualifications but we can also provide customised training packages to meet your specific requirements. We also provide CPD courses for college lecturers. Please call for more info.
BABTAC Accredited Micro Ring & Pre Bonded 1 day Course – Please call for quote
Once your learners complete a BABTAC accredited course they will become affiliated with the longest established and most well-known membership association in the hair & beauty industry. Your learners can advertise that they hold a BABTAC accredited qualification with Hair Extensions Academy and this will give your learners the confidence and skills needed to advance in the hair extensions industry
Learner will complete an online theory module remotely and then attend a 1 day practical training day on live models.
You will learn two methods of application for your accredited certificate. A hot method (pre bonded) and a cold method (micro ring). We also show you how to apply two more methods, shrink tube and easy loop hair. A brief overview of the course we provide contains:

Level 3 NVQ Award in Creative Hair Extension Services – Please call for quote
We can offer this qualification to both your learners and your lecturers depending on what best meets the needs of the college.
This hair extensions NVQ course in hair extensions services provides an NVQ qualification and skills needed to apply hair extensions to clients. This is an official NVQ qualification and also counts towards a full level 3 hairdressing qualifications.
The course covers micro-ring & pre-bonded shrink tube application methods so you gain knowledge of both hot and cold hair extensions systems ensuring a wide range of skills obtained to meet differing client needs. You will also cover how to identify which products and techniques to use, preparation of client hair, selecting, blending and placing hair extensions to add colour, volume & length for the client and how to complete each service by creatively cutting and finishing the hair. Maintenance of extensions and aftercare also form part of the course.
This course is a 3 day course. The first day you will complete an eLearning theory module which you can do online from home. The second and third day you will be doing practical training and assessments.
You will be training on both training blocks and also applying extensions to your live models.
To attend this course, learners should have a minimum of NVQ Level 2 in hairdressing.
